Something strange in MIDI Playback

• Nov 14, 2010 - 19:19

I don't know how to reproduce (tried), but it is happening with a few MIDI files I outputted.

It maybe to do with having more than what was saved than the last time?

Play it from the beginning to the end, there's no issue. However, if you jump to somewhere in the new section, it increases in volume (decreasing if you click in an old section).

Has this happened to anyone? I know it seems absurd, or maybe it's a cause of working with a score previously created on an older version?

Using Mac 10.4.11, MuseScore 0.9.6.3 and Quicktime 7.6.4.

It must be a problem with Quicktime - I found some other problems with MIDI playback:

1) Notes are cut off at the very end.
2) You can hear clipping.

1. Open a MIDI in QuickTime (such as one produced using MuseScore 1.2).
2. Play.

3. Pause.
4. Play.

3. Jump to another section.

Result: There's a change in the reverb (?). I'm not sure if I can reproduce in the trunk, at the moment.

Using MuseScore 1.2 and QuickTime 7.6.6 - Mac 10.7.5.
