Changing the "Zoom In" keyboard shortcut to be more intuitive
Let me start with the obvious: I LOVE MUSESCORE, AND I AM ETERNALLY GRATEFUL FOR IT.

I suggest making the keyboard shortcut for "zoom in" the following: Cmd+"=" (command and the "equal" sign) rather than Cmd+"+" (command and the "plus" sign).
This would be in keeping with conventions among other popular software (e.g., Firefox). Users will be able to quickly zoom in and out by pressing the command button and either the minus or equal sign, without having to alternate between pressing or not pressing the shift button (which is what's currently required, since the "plus" sign requires shift to be pressed).

Currently MuseScore only has one set of shortcuts for all countries. Although it may make sense to use cmd+"=" on US English keyboards (since plus and equals are on the same key), it doesn't make sense on other keyboard layouts. Currently MuseScore can only have one shortcut for each action. On the other hand Firefox supports both "=" and "+" for zooming in (at least on Windows, US English).
By the way, Cmd+scroll wheel for zooming in and out is also supported.

So Mac keyboards don't have number pads like Windows keyboards, with unshifted + (plus) keys? How do you do data entry? (Maybe Mac owners tend to hire people to do such menial things, since they obviously have so much disposable income... [smile] )
I was just going to add my request that Ctrl+[mouse wheel] be added for zooming. But you say it's already supposed to work? It's not working on my system (64-bit Windows 7, wired Microsoft USB mouse).

Works for me under Win7 32 bit and MS 1.0. Maybe you don't have the proper mouse driver installed? You can test the scroll wheel in Internet Explorer (and maybe firefox) by ctrl-scroll to zoom in/out of web pages.
Shortcuts are editable through the preferences. I don't know if it can be done a Mac, but on my Windows XP machine I just edited the shortcut to be Ctrl+"=" instead of Ctrl+"+",
