This is my favorite of the caprices. It doesn't sound American .Thats a problem in my estiomation.It uses a motif and is really quite unsettling .The form came of itsel .It could be more sophisticated formally maybe a tertiary or binary form with a repeat or distillation of its main motive.I think this one has to be played .Too machinelike sounding here with intervals and doulble stops needing human Judgement!
