Nudging volta brackets vertically

I'm just learning MuseScore, playing around with the different elements. I'm having trouble placing volta brackets for 1st and 2nd endings so that they are aligned vertically. At one point, I was able to vertically nudge volta brackets up and down using the arrow keys, not just side to side, but now I can't reproduce what I did. Is there some way to nudge volta brackets up and down once they have been placed?
