Program opens and runs in background but never fully opens and is unusable
It was working fine yesterday before a windows 10 update was installed.. I first downloaded a fresh version from the Musescore website and ran that to repair the program.. no joy.. uninstalled and then reinstalled.. no joy.. uninstalled the windows10 update.. no joy..
Suggestions?

If the program is running maybe it's just off the screen

tried that, nothing seems to be different.. it is certainly offscreen, but when i hover over the musescore tab at the bottom on the screen it shows a blank page.. according to Task Manager it is running but I don't have any access to the program.

You've tried killing it via Task Manager? Rebooting? Since you uninstalled an OS update, I guess that goes without saying, but maybe do it again too?
You are sure you followed the "Revert to factory settings" isntructions? They are different from uninstall / reinstall. If you run "musescore.exe -F -d" from a terminal window, what output do you see in the window?

I had not added the '-F' at the end of the "revert" procedure.. and low and behold, the program fully opened.. thank you both very much..
