Cannot create new file for musescore
I can't create a file for musescore it crashes every time i try it

Which version of MuseScore are you using ? On which operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux) ?
What are you doing exactly, step by step ?

The version is 1.0 and I run it on windows vista
I open the program then I simply click on File (from the drop down menu) then I click on new,
but every time i try it, it crashes

In case others have the same problem, how did you fix it?
Is it something you can give steps for others to reproduce the crash? If you can then may it can be fixed in future versions of MuseScore so that others don't experience the same crashes you did.
