Musescore File Currupted

• Feb 14, 2016 - 01:12

Hello again Musescore, I've come again with another problem...
After about 2 hours or so of working on a new score I had Musescore crashed and the file corrupted. Every time I open it back up I get a "MuseScore: Load Error" saying Cannot read File, Is there any way I can translate it back to a readable file? I've put the file in the "File attachments" folder so if you know what's wrong with it, you can see it.
Thank you

Sometimes files get "corrupted" when they contain a few characters MuseScore isn't expecting (e.g. ampersand "&"), but this file looks like it is properly corrupted. Trying to open it with Archive Manager I get these errors:

Archive: /home/user/Desktop/Things_to_Come.mscz
[/home/user/Desktop/Things_to_Come.mscz]
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
zipinfo: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /home/user/Desktop/Things_to_Come.mscz or
/home/user/Desktop/Things_to_Come.mscz.zip, and cannot find /home/user/Desktop/Things_to_Come.mscz.ZIP, period.

So chances of recovery don't look promising.
