I think it's not possible to "add" shortcuts, but only customize existing ones.
I do not know if there's any news.
FWIW, while sforzato does not have a shortcut in 2.0.2, it will in 2.0.3 (Shift+V). Eventually we'd like a way to add any palette item by keyboard, but of course there are quite a lot of palette items and only so many shortcuts available, so we'll need to figure out some way to make it work.
