Je ne saisie pas le sens de :
Restriction : Le raccourcis fonctionne comme décrit seulement si aucun accord ne suit la note sélectionnée ; si non, then the duration is ignored and the tied note is added instead to the following chord.
et paragraphe en dessous : Regrouper les rythmes (en anglais).
Je ne saisie pas le cas d'espèce de la phrase :
2. Les notes pointées will not span from one group of beamed notes to another unless their duration is the same as all of the beam groups it covers. Any notes with more that one dot will be regrouped according to the above rules.

Même si l'anglais n'est pas votre langue maternelle, je pense que quelqu'un sur le forum anglais peut mieux l'expliquer. L'explication me confond et je ne parle que l'anglais.
Vous pouvez même mettre un lien vers votre question ici, donc quelqu'un peut mettre une traduction en français ici pour vous.

Keep in mind that it's for handbook translation purpose first.
If you (hanbook contributor) are confused, maybe you could ask around by yourself for explanations or reword/ing ; and then give us feedback, it would help us a lot.
This shortcut works, as described above, only if there is no chord following the selected note. If there is, then the duration is ignored and the tied notes are added instead to the following chord.
Le raccourci ne fonctionne pas de la manière décrite ci dessus si un accord de plusieurs notes suit la note sélectionnée. Dans ce cas là, la durée de note sélectionnée par l'utilisateur est ignoré et une note est ajoutée à l'accord existant qui conserve donc sa durée.
C'est plus clair?

Non (je suis novice), mais ça a le mérite d'être en français ; c'est ajouté au manuel.
Je reste bloqué sur l'autre paragraphe :
" Any notes that are tied and are the same length as a dotted note will be changed to the dotted note with two limitations :
i) Only the last note of a group of tied notes will have a single dot. Notes with more than one dot are not produced using this option.
ii) Dotted notes will not span from one group of beamed notes to another unless their duration is the same as all of the beam groups it covers.
Any notes with more that one dot will be regrouped according to the above rules"
Notez que le paragraphe anglais original, est d'un seul bloc, "j'ai" inséré les retours à la ligne.
Il me semble (sans pouvoir le retrouver) avoir déjà demandé des précisions sur ces "i, ii" (formatage ?) sans succès.
