Piano Keyboard entry mode (2.0.0 beta)

I was trying to add notes using the Piano Keyboard view in v2.0.0. Clicking on a piano key adds the note and advances to the next position. If I go back to the last inserted note and click on a different key in order to make the single note into a 2-note chord, that note is instead replaced and I am still left with a single note.

How can I make note insertion put the new note 'on top' of the existing one rather than replace it?
