No intrument voices! Please help me!

• Nov 27, 2014 - 09:17

Hello!

I installed Musescore 2.0 beta on my Macbook and on the beginning I was really happy from this programme, but in the moment all of the instrument voices stop play. When I write a notes I don't hear anything and when i play the score I also don't hear anything, but for example metronome works.

Could someone help me with this problem?

Do you see a soundfont loaded in View / Synthesizer? And volume turned up there? Does the cursor move when you play the score? Have you tried restarting MuseScore? Shutting dfown any other programs that might be hogging the sound card? Rebooting?

Hi
I've just downloaded
008dfe2 which I believe is the latest version.

and have encountered the same problem. Volumes up where it should be, nothing else using sound, have shut down the programme and reloaded. Enclosed screen shot if its of any use.

Just a thought, I've saved the score to elsewhere so that when I delete this Nightly for the next, I won't accidentally delete the score as well. Could that be it? When I reloaded the file, it wasn't shown in "recent" but was sat there waiting on the manuscript.

No Synthesizer display (soundfont) of instruments in nightlies:
NOT FOUND: 1
First, make sure a path to a soundfont folder shows in Menu item: Edit / Preferences.
(P.S. As you can see, I'm still using TimGM6mb.sf2 from MuseScore 1.3 - simply because I can always find it, and it's good enough for note checking.
Also, for me, the 'portable' nightlies tend to accumulate and then get scattered around, especially if I don't clean house.)

Regards.
