Copy and past problem
When copying a number of measures, a couple of times the pasted measures would extend out beyond the normal end of a staff. I found it difficult to get rid of the floating parts out to the right without deleting previous measures in the song, but finally worked it out. In another case, there were just a couple of notes out to the right but still on the page, but in an open bar. In that case I just left it rather than mess up other parts of the song. Any idea what would cause this.......is it a possible bug? I use Windows XP, SP3. Thanks.

If you can list the steps to reproduce this is would help. What version of MuseScore are you using? (Go to Help > About to find out)

MuseScore 0.9.6.
As near as I can remember, the steps were:
Highlight about 8-12 measures using Shift key.
Control-C to copy.
Paste to new measures using Control-V.
Paste to additional new measures using Control-V
Copying was done okay except for problem described, which happened on two staves in different places.

Are you able to repeat the problem? Does this happen every time or just with a particular score?

Don't know. I just started using the program and have not had another opportunity. If it happens again, I'll repost.

Okay, it happened again on a different score. I copied and pasted seven measures, and the second measure, which was at the end of a staff, continued on floating out to the right of the page instead of wrapping to the next staff. I had previously done some other copy/paste in the same score without a problem. So it is inconsisent, but it does happen and really slows down the work progress trying to fix it. Other than telling you about it, I can't tell you how to duplicate it.
