Copy and Paste to another software application

Hi,
I'd like to know how to copy and paste sections of
a musescore piece to Power Point and or InDesign.
Also how to import/export a whole page.

For small parts: take a screen copy

For whole pages: save as pdf.
Then if you need a very good copy of a part of a page, print the pdf file to some pdf printer using out format A1, then you use some software turning pdf to jpeg (just ask Google for pdf2jpeg), or you take a partial screen copy of your A1 page.

Or File -> Save As and choose PNG

JPEG is designed for photographs but is not a good format for music notation. PNG will give you a higher quality image, smaller file size, and they are easier to create since it is built into MuseScore via File > Save As.

I saved to PNG.
When I copied and pasted, I could only get a black space
on the Power Point presentation. It was the same size as
the section on muse score document but it did not copy (just black).

In PowerPoint did you use Insert > Picture > From File?

Yes I did, thanks.
That works for the whole document, but i also
need to copy and paste parts of scores and I can't seem
to do that yet.

Open the PNG in Paint, or another image editor such as The Gimp and do the cropping.
