MIDI import time signature issue
I have a score whose first 3 measures have the time signatures 6/8, 7/8 and 6/8. I exported this as a MIDI file from another notation program and it imported just fine into MuseScore 1.3, with the time signatures as in the original. However, I have the most recent nightly build of 2.0 and in that version it imports with the first two measures in 7/8, even though the first measure still has only 6/8 worth of contents. Is this a bug? At first blush it seems to be, although I suppose it might be a side-effect of support for partial first measures.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, SP 1.
I've uploaded a stripped-down version of the MIDI file.
By the way, as an occasional user of odd time-signatures, I'd welcome an enhancement that would allow user-created signatures to be copied to the palette.

In the midi import panel, uncheck 'Recognize pickup measure', then click on 'Apply'.

Thanks. The version I'm running displays an inspector panel on the right by default, which kept me from seeing the existence of that option.

Ah... the inspector panel.
At the bottom of the midi import panel is a horizontal scroll bar so you don't have to close the inspector. (Although you *can* close it, and then use 'F8' to bring it back.)
Regarding 'user-created signatures to be copied to the palette', you can add a new workspace to which you can drag any custom time signature you create using the Master Palette (Shift+F9).
Here's how:
1. Add a new workspace by clicking on the '+' sign at the bottom of the Palette.
2. Select that new workspace from the dropdown box to the left of the '+' sign.
3. Use menu item: View / Master Palette (or press Shift+F9) to bring up the Master Palette.
4. In the Master Palette, click on Time Signature, create a new one, then click on 'Add'.
5. Drag the new time signature to the Time Signatures palette in your new workspace.

Thanks. I was merely going by the online handbook entry for "time signature", which says user-created signatures won't appear in the palette, but doesn't say anything about workspaces. (I'm aware that workspaces are documented elsewhere, but I didn't know enough to go looking.)
The question of the horizontal scroll bar for the import panel is an interesting one. I've been working with 2.0 Beta 2 and a 2.0 nightly build (R.83622b0) more or less at the same time, so I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain that in the nightly build, the default configuration of the main window put this scroll bar below the bottom of the screen, so that I couldn't see or use it without moving/resizing the window. (I had the same problem with the Style/General window in the Beta, but it has since been fixed, which is in fact why I'm running a nightly build at all.)
Unfortunately, the program seems to remember certain state information such as window size and position, presence/absence of the Inspector panel, recent file list, etc., even if I delete the whole MuseScoreNightly directory and unzip a fresh copy. This information doesn't seem to be saved in the registry, as far as I can tell, and it also doesn't seem to be shared with the Beta. I'd love to know where it is. I'd like to be able to wipe the slate absolutely clean so I can see what the program looked like right after it was first installed on my PC, but I can't figure out how to do that.

So here's what I get when I start the R.83622b0 nightly build with the -F option on my PC (Windows 7, with the taskbar pinned to the top of the screen and the screen resolution set to 1366x768). I've attached 2 screen shots, one when the program has just started and once after a MIDI import. After the import, the horizontal scroll bar for the import panel is just barely visible at the bottom of the screen, but you have to know to look for it. The title bar is entirely obscured, and the menu bar partly so.
The difference between this problem and the similar one I had earlier with the Style/General window (fixed since Beta 2) is that MuseScore remembers the size and position of the main window between sessions, so i only have to muck with it once.

Hmmm...
Do you have the MuseScore staus bar enabled? It's menu item: View, then toggle 'Status Bar' on/off via the checkbox. This might 'bump up' the bottom of the MuseScore page.
I mention this because I am running Windows 7 with my screen resolution at 1920x1080. When I tried 1366x768, I could still see (unlike your issue) the full window, although sometimes the MuseScore status bar did not show even when the View checkbox was checked. I then had to toggle it to get it to view.
P.S. I have tried 1366x768 with the Windows taskbar pinned to the top, bottom, using auto-hide, not using auto-hide. I am still able to see the full window (title bar, menu bar, midi import scroll bar).
Does it happen with other apps? Maybe a (vertical) monitor adjustment is needed.

The status bar is enabled by default. Disabling it pushes the horizontal scroll bar for the import panel even farther off the bottom of the screen, so it can't be seen at all.
Regarding your last question: no, I don't remember this happening with any other app, and I've had the same PC configured the same way for years.
