menu placement of staff delete functionality is unintuitive
It's a little disconcerting that the way you delete a staff from a score is to select the Instruments dialog from the "Add" menu. It took me a while to find this because adding anything was the furthest thing from my mind.
I wish I had a good suggestion for where this functionality should be found instead. Maybe Add/Instruments is the right place, but it just feels odd.

Similar to Windows where you need to go to the Start button to shutdown... ;-)
I agree it feels odd, but it's been several years now, and while it does come up as a question fairly often (people wondering where the command is, also for rearranging staves), no one has suggested a better alternative. It did change from "Create" to "Add" in 2.0, not that this was much of an improvement in this respect.

'Edit' might be the place?

Agreed -- "Edit" > "Instruments" makes the most sense here.

I agree. Probably right above "Edit > Measures". Does seem the sort of thing lasconic would normally want to weigh in on, maybe we should wait. Doesn't hurt to submit the PR, though, if someone wants to...

Yes: Edit> Add/Delete/Re-sequence Instruments (or staves) is more descriptive of the available function.

The change was made a few days ago :-). It should be in current nightly builds.

Heh - I've got so used to pressing "I" that I have ceased to notice the misnomer :)
