Stem lengths
I'm writing a high part in semiquavers and six ledger lines. The stems are too short and the beams obscure the ledger lines.
How can I increase the stem length?

Double click the stem to enter Edit mode, then drag the handle.
The behavior you describe, where notes many ledger lines from the staff have stems too short - is a known bug that I believe may have already been fixed in the trunk.

Thank you, Marc.
I find that after I've lengthened the stem, if I am not quite happy with the result, I can't undo the action.
I have to reselect the stem and shorten it.
Is this normal?

Normally you should be able to undo one you resized the stem of beam notes with Ctrl + Z. You can also select the beam and press Ctrl + R to be back to the original position. It's working in MuseScore 1.0 for me.

I now see what I was doing wrong.
I was trying to undo an action while the stem was still in edit mode.
