Remove voice
I have written a piece in 4 voices on a Grand Staff.
After entering the notes and rests in all voices I changed my mind regarding the tenor voice and want the tenor to tacet for that bar. I went to the notes and deleted them. However, rests remained as artifacts.
Of course I can set them invisible, but I think that there should be a way to erase the voice entirely.
Am I missing a step?
Thanks.

When I select a note or group of notes and press delete the note goes away. I am not able to recreate the behavior you are describing. Maybe attach a sample file?

but rests remain.

It is a limitation of the current implementation that rests in the first blue voice cannot be removed. MuseScore requires a continuous gapless timeline build from notes and rests. This is implemented by not allowing any gaps in the first voice.

So a workaround might be to exchange the voices 1 and 2 and remove voice 2.

Problem with that is that the voices have different stem direction.
