Task bar with all details for input disappeared?
I'm running Mac OS El Capitan on brand new iMac. Program started off fine, but next time I opened it, the task bar with all the key input details disappeared. How can I get it back? I've uninstalled, reinstalled, and it keeps happening. Didn't happen on my MacBook Pro running the same software...

View → Show Taskbar (if you really mean the Task bar, that line at the bottom of the main MuseScore window)
Reinstalling keeps all Settings...
I actually meant the bar at the top. It has the N at the left side and then shows the symbols for the notes, etc. I'm new and found it helpful at this stage....

right click into the menu bar and tick the tools you want, untick those you don't. I assume you did the latter by accident, and you're not the first ;-)

That didn't happen when I updated to El Capitan.
