Repeat sign printing incorrectly
In the Appimage, in an export to PDF, the dots on the "Repeat" icon are replaced by a column of 4 squares, to the left or right depending on where the dots should be.

This seems to indicate that on your system you have some MuseScore font installed. A common cause of issues like this, esp. on Linux machines, some distributions seem to erroneously install the musescore fonts, and installed once take precedence over the built in ones.

Yes, a Musescore fonts package is a dependency. It contains 3 files:
/usr/share/fonts/mscore/mscore-20.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mscore/mscore-MuseJazz.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/mscore/mscore1-20.ttf
I thought it was probably a system problem.

delete those, these are not needed at all, for no version of musescore and harm in some

The package is a dependency for Musescore 1.3. I uninstalled mscore-fonts. That took out mscore-1.3, but it fixed the bug. Should I file a bug report with my distro? They may do things differently when packaging.

Wouldn't hurt to file the bug, but I suspect several of them have already been notified about this, as it's come up before.

I wrote 'delete those' not 'unistall mscore-fonts'. And I meant literaly using 'rm' on the font file(s).
That issue had been reported to the distro maintaines long ago, and for MuseScore 1.x it is too late for getting it fixed anyway, so I wouldn't bother.
So if you now want 1.3 back and be able to use the Appimage too, install 1.3, then 'rm' the font(s).
