I am not able to move notes to different lines by hitting up and down keys.
So, I would like to bring the issue here.
I was working on the score in which I will use to test out nightly builds. I selected the Alto Saxophone staff, and then hit "D" because the first note I intended to play was concert D. I realized that I didn't select show concert pitch so the sound came out as "F" which was normal for Alto Saxophones. I went ahead and pressed the "Down" arrow key to move the note to "B". However, all I heard was the pitch change, while the note stayed on the same line. I also observed the measure getting wider while the note stayed at the same place. I have tried this on different staves (except percussion). It was re-creatable.
Here is how to duplicate the problem.
(1) Load the score I have attached.
(2) Select the "Alto Saxophone 1 and 2" Staff and on the first measure, enter input mode by pressing "N".
(3) Press the "D" key to input a "D".
(4) Press the down arrow key repeatedly to move the note down.
(5) Observe how the note stays on the same line, but the playback pitch goes down. Also observe how the measure gets "wider".

What are you saying? Is this a confirmed bug? Should I report this to Issue Tracker?

I downloaded your example and follow the steps.
it works as expected: using ↑
↓ the note changes its position on the staff.
Try with Help/Revert to Factory Settings.
Your file loads very strangely on my machine with a build from yesterday - there are no staff lines or notes visible at all. Not sure if that's because of a bug in the current master or a corruption in the score file.
If I switch to Page View, however, it displays OK, and I can enter notes and move them up and down normally.

That's nothing wrong with the score—just #106961: Problems with continuous view.

I guess this is just a continuous view issue.
