Closed score pitch ranges
There are instances when multiple (and different) instruments share a same staff. An example would be the soprano voice and alto in closed score, or the piccolo and flute. Both of them have a different pitch range; and as such it is inconvenient because Musescore only checks for a singular predefined range.
I suggest a configuration-list that allows you to add/remove usable pitch ranges for both amateur and professional, and customisable colours to distinguish the range limit.

You can change the range in staff properties, and create yourself a template with those settings. That's how it is done for closed score SATB.

Yes, but it isn't possible to see where an instrument succeeds the other.

Using the amateur pitch range is a quick fix, but it is not very efficient.
