Joining bent stems for three note chromatic group
Hello!
Is it possible to join three chromatic tones with bent stems as is shown in the attached example (out of Gardner Read's book Music Notation)? Gardner Read calls this an "altered unison combined with an adjacent scale-step." Ordinarily I would use enharmonic spellings that would allow me to use only a single stem, but in my score there is one place where double-flats or double-sharps would have to be used to avoid altered unisons.
Thanks!
Lewis

The bent stems are not possible but you can make it look that way.
Make the first and third stems invisible.
Insert a line. Put the line in edit mode and drag the ends to where you want them for the first note. Repeat for the second note.

I forgot to mention. I would not do this until all other editing of the score is complete. Any change you make to the score after you insert these lines could cause them to shift. I would suggest entering a staff text note (that is larger or a different color) to remind myself of where these edits will take place until the score is complete.

Thanks, I imagined that was the case!
