invisible notes have visible ledger lines.
I'm not sure if this is by design or not, but I would think that when a note is made invisible, its ledger lines should also be invisible unless they are also being used for a visible note.

Out of curiosity, do you make use of invisible notes with lots of ledger lines? What is the context?

I do use them quite frequently, but probably not for their intended purpose. Whenever there is an ornament or multiple grace notes I need to write, since Musescore does not currently and never has supported the playback of these, I write them out once as they should look, then switch to another voice and write them out as they should sound. Then I select the notes in the 2nd voice, make it small, stemless and invisible, and remove the beams, triplet brackets, and numbers. It's kinda tedious but the resulting sound is much better, even with the 1st voice sustaining. I'm not always able to get it as compact as I would like, either, but I'd rather have both playback and visualization in poor quality than be missing one or the other.
