MIDI input does not work in special input modes (re-pitch, realtime) with any transposing instrument – when I press key on keyboard a wild note somewhere down in the register appears, or is added to a note that is already there (when using re-pitch) after few strokes ceases to function completely.

1) Add transposing instrument to a score.

2) Enter note input – realtime, or repitch (if there are some notes already added)

3) Enter notes via MIDI keyboard

Workaround No Yes

I have a similar problem with the automatic realtime mode and an USB-Midi keyboard.
If the frist instrument of a score is a tansposing instrument, it seems musescore does't recognise the note-off commands.

It is like in this article for version 3.4:
https://musescore.org/en/node/303718

My workaround is to set a non-transposing instrument as first instrument. Then add the other instruments and set the first one invisible.
But it only works by creating a new score.

Oooh, that comment about transposition potentially messing up recognition of note off messages may explain other issues people sometimes see where a keyboard appears to not work properly.
