After importing a midi file I got strange behaviour when splitting the piano staff as shown in the attached pictures.

What would you expect instead?
I'm assuming this is the "split" function during import. In that one MuseScore tries all kind of smartypants stuff to detect which notes/chords to which hand would make somewhat sense.
If you're looking for just a simple pitch-based split, then first import it on the single staff. Then right-click the staff and choose "split staff" for which you can then provide the split point.

The second picture shows what I get when importing a midi file (with split as default).
I would expect the C as highest chord note in the upper staff, not as single note in the lower staff.
Attached is the midi file, please check the last 2 bars after import.

I'd probably expect it there as well, so after import I'd cut and paste it over there ;-)
