Modifications When First Writing Text Don't Save

• Jul 13, 2020 - 05:37

I haven't tested this a whole lot but here's the process:
1a. Add a staff, system, or instrument text in a score.
1b. If did not use shortcut to create text box, select the text box (twice?) to enable text editing. If did use shortcut, type something so the text box is not empty.
3. WITHOUT EXITING FROM THE TEXT EDITING MODE, make modifications to the text in the Inspector, including but not limited to: bold/italics/underline, font size, frames.
4. Deselect the text box to get out of text editing mode. The changes to the text box should save, but apparently disappear instead. Only changes to the actual text, if any, stay. Any modifications when selecting the text box again for editing do save; they just do not on the first attempt when did not exit the editing mode.

I'm not sure if this is an issue or intentional design, but I find this hard to work with as I like to edit and modify my text right when I create the text box. I accustomed myself to selecting out of the text box before making changes so they save, but this workaround shouldn't be necessary. Does this seem to occur and bug anyone else?

Tried it and seems to work great! Looks like the pedal thickness issue was also fixed; I was about to bring it up. Older versions had pedal lines that were thicker than the default and you had to reset it in the Inspector for it to return to the default thickness.
