Align Stave Boundaries
I recently saw that video about Musescore containing a guide on how to do this here:
But I am wondering... is there a way to align the boundaries of the staves like how they align in orchestral scores?

Can you explain in more detail, perhaps with a picture of how you want it to look instead?

Barlines?
In reply to Barlines? by Shoichi
Yes! Sorry not familiar with English composing-related definitions. I have seen in some books where they write a passage but include an indication with "those thinner staves and smaller notes", but ,just like the continuous barlines in orchestral scores, the barlines of the original passage and the indication's barlines align. Btw I searched but couldn't find anything, although I have a score- oh I will take a photo tomorrow perhaps.

If you are using the "Cutaway" feature to create these (adding an extra staff and setting that option in Staff/Part Properties, also setting "Hide when empty" to "Always"), then you can extend the barlines as you would between any other staves.

You mean just create a new part above it and say that no empty stave is visible in other words... But that won't make it necessarily "small" like in the books right?

From the handbook: To create a cutaway staff in which only the measures containing notes are visible (for ossia or cutaway scores, for example), right-click the staff, click Staff Properties, and enable the "Cutaway" option. This can be used independently of "Hide when empty" or "Hide empty staves".

If you want it small also, just use the Small box in that same dialog.

Noice, thanks again!
HAH! GOTTYYY!
Found a part of a score with 2 of those. You can also check those dotted lines.

Yes, this is the sort of thing you can make happen using the options I described.
