Installation Issue
Hi there.
I have recently been given a work laptop ( a Dell Latitude 3410) and I am struggling to install musescore onto it.
I get to the final stage and then I get this message
'The specified path is too long: C:\documents and setting\ all users'
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Shona

It surely would be "C:\Dokuments and Settings\All Users". Maybe you can make it "C:\Users\All Users" ? Should be the same thing.

Hi there. Thank you for replying.
I just tried this and the same message came up. It's a bit odd because I've installed this on a fair few machines and never experienced this issue.

What operating system? What version of MuseScore? Enough diskspace? Administrator privileges?

It's running Windows 10, I'm trying to install Musescore 3, there is lots of diskspace and I have no idea about administrator privileges.
The laptop is set up the same as my work PC and other PCs in the room (I'm a teacher and they are all connected to the school network) and I've been able to install on all of them.
I could try tonight on my home WiFi and see if that makes any difference.
I really appreciate your help.

Why would it need 'All users' if you're not installing it as the Administrator?
What happens if you actually do try to install as Administrator?
After all that's what you should be on the computers of your school network, and what MuseScore should be installed as, to allow different pupils on the PC to use it
