Downloading
Is there a way to download MIDIs of sheet music for free? or do i have to buy the pro subscription? I can never find anything im looking for in the original section, and I am getting tired of having to scour the pages for hours because i can't download PD sheet music.

If a score labeled as PD, you don't need a pro subscription. Only for copyrighted scores you'll need it.

Which one? For example these one opens fine for me without pro subscription: https://musescore.com/sheetmusic?text=BaCh.

This is actually a problem that should be reported at https://musescore.com/groups/improving-musescore-com/ but I would be willing to test one of the scores you cannot download on my non-pro account. Provide a link to a problem score.

This score is not marked as public domain and in fact has a copyright of All rights reserved. You need to find a score that says it's public domain like all of the scores at https://musescore.com/openscore-lieder-corpus which have the blue PD on the score icon.

I don't know. Someone might and you're more likely to get a good answer on musescore.com

Probably because there's no public domain score available, you're looking for. But as mentioned, better ask for it on musescore.com.

"okay, is there a way to search by PD?"
This works for me:
1. Browse to https://musescore.com/sheetmusic
2. Scroll down the left sidebar headed "FILTERS"
3. Look for the Status section
4. Tick the box marked "Public Domain"- the selected scores on the right are now only those marked PD
But it seems that any more precise filtering in the License section just doesn't work properly. You still get loads of scores marked "License: None (All rights reserved)".

For me it works, maybe check it with another browser. But as mentioned, keep in mind, normally you'll won't find public domain scores of living composers except/without their decision.
