Synthesizer & playback not working MuseScore 3
Hi
I recently installed the newest version of musescore 3: 3.6 on Windows and at first it worked, but now it doesn't. I have reset the app to factory settings multiple times, reset audio & MIDI devices, tried to choose PortAudio, but there is nothing for that. I followed all the steps in https://musescore.org/en/node/96811 and that proved fruitless. Any ideas, because I am going to need it for my music exams soon.
Thanks

Not only that but now I can't add a new instrument. I have opened up a .gp5 file to copy the Vocals part into a Vocals part on the score I'm making. I press "I" to open the instruments menu, click Voice -> Vocals, then I click "Finish", and then it crashes. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling it, but it doesn't work.
If its any help, I am using an HP Pavillion laptop with an amd64 Intel i3 core on Windows 10 Home, OS v19042.746. I have 8GB of RAM, and I am not using any MIDI devices. I am using a simple 3.5mm audio jack to temporarily get around the Audio problem, but for that, I want to use Bluetooth headphones.

I guess that gp5 import created a corrupt score then

Also maybe attache the gp5 file.
Can this be related to my problem? https://musescore.org/en/node/315868 I'm experiencing it on MacOs computer, though.

possible, but unlikely
Could you specify it a little bit? Does it work with the internal speaker? Is the synthesizer an playback panel grayed out? So that you can't access the synthesizer or mixer window? Doesn't work only the playback, what's with the note input? Did you try to update your audio driver? Maybe could be helpful if you attache a screenshot of your settings in preferences.

It works with an internal speaker and a 3.5mm jack, but it won't do the Bluetooth. I can't access the synthesizer or the playback: they are greyed out. The note input works, and that is all OK. Now I've been using the 3.5mm headphones, and now I can see all the details (MME, etc).

So it is an issue with the bluetooth speaker and not a playback issue in general, isn't it? I'm using myself Linux with bluetooth and IIRC I had also to adjust something in the mixer settings of the OS, but not in MuseScore. With Windows I don't have really experience.

Yes, I'm used to using it on Linux too: I used to use it on my Raspberry Pi 4 with no issues.

As far as I can say from my side: I'm using XFCE as window manager, there I've the option to choose the output for MuseScore too inside the mixer (the mixer of XFCE, not the mixer of MuseScore).

Thanks, I'll probably go back to using it on Ubuntu on my Pi then. It has no issues, so that would be easiest.
