Independent Text editing in 3.6

• Feb 3, 2021 - 15:42

Hi there!
I've been doing engravings on MuseScore for quite some time, and the recent update has given me some tools that are hugely helpful to me in my work. That being said, there are some issues I wanted to mention.
The biggest one is with text attributes. Don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but in the new 3.6. version of MuseScore, Text attributes cannot be edited except for the entire text box, while the earlier 3.4 and 3.5 versions I used did have that capability, except on the footer. As my two screenshots show: the first is a piece of text, and the second is that same piece of text italicized, but I only selected the letters "salm". The same problem occurred when I tried to change the size of those letters for a small caps effect that I did all the time on 3.5. Am I missing a something, or is this a legitimate omission?

Appreciate any help!
A. R. Forrest.

Sample score please. As far as I can tell this does still work and the same way it ever did: via the text tool at the bottom of the screen while in edit mode:

of course, I still can't do anything on the footer, which is necessary when crediting a book as a music or text source (see footer 1.png). Under most circumstances, I just add open text with the required title and move that into the right position (see footer 2.png). When I do that however, it never stays in the same place--it's usually shifted to a different position the next time I open the score, as seen in footer 3.png. Is there a way to change attributes in the footer?
