MusicXML import - Cresc and Dim as < > symbols
Dear Friends,
When importing MusicXML to Musescore, my symbols "<" and ">" are converted to the words "cresc" and "dim". This makes a cluttering in the score, because the "cresc" takes much more space than the symbol "<".
Is there some way to filter this method of importing MusicXML, in order to maintain the crescendo/dim to symbols "<" and ">" ?
Thanks a lot !
Best,
Julio

Can you attach a MusicXML file you are having toruble with? A hairpin I just tried (exported from within MuseScore) imported just fine. So I'm wondering if maybe your MusicXML is representing that hairpin in an unexpected way.

Dear Marc,
Here are the files and screeshot of what is happening.
Thank you for your great software.
I´m using to compose a software called Opusmodus. It´s really amazing for algorithmic stuff and for LISP programing. A great environment. The XML comes form it (screenshot attached).
Thanks for your feedback !

I'm not an expert, but this MusicXML file does not appear to contain any actual hairpins. They should be represented with "wedge" elements, but your file uses only "dynamics" elements.

Thanks, Marc, for your time.
I´m going to find a way.
All the best.
