In 2, Layout/scaling, I could type in other values. In 3, I'm unable to change from 1.750 to 1.650.
How do I do that?

If with 2 and 3 you mean MuseScore 2(.3.2) and MuseScore 3.(6.2): you still can do that.
In Format > Page settings just change that 7 to a 6

Tried that - it reverts to 5

Not if you select the 7 only and then type 6

I placed the cursor before the 7, backspace, type 6 but it won't enter it just reads 1.500

Again: select the 7 (and that only) then type 6
But yes, that behavoir is rather strange and had come up a couple days ago here in the forum

That worked. I hadn't highlighted it before, just backspace. Thank you.
