Voltas at the beginning of the repeated sequence of measures
Hello,
I have such notes.
I am attaching a Musescore file with parts marked with letters: A, B1, B2, C, D1, D2, E.
I would like them to go like this:
A -> B1 -> C -> D1 -> B2 -> C -> D2 -> E
But playback plays them like this:
A -> B1 -> C -> D1 -> B1 -> B2 -> C -> D2 -> E
What is wrong?

The first thing I notice is that the :!! barline is missing after B2

But I don't want the repetition to end after B2, I just want it to continue to C and then to D2. As I described it above.
What is wrong is that a volta, by definition, is an alternative ending. Although MuseScore is quite liberal in how you can abuse voltas, it is not an alternative start.

Thank you. I thought it might work like that, because when I add one empty bar at the beginning (which, of course, I don't want) it plays all notes exactly as I want. So then these voltas work inside a sequence of measures.

Well.. when you add a measure in front, then your volta is no longer at the same starting point as the start repeat, making it an "ending" again.
There is an order of processing these things, and here the volta is logically "in front of" the start repeat, so when returning to the start repeat you arrive still "after" the volta logic. The reason for that processing order is to allow for valid scores such as:
𝄞 m1 𝄀 m2 𝄆 m3 𝄀 m4 𝄀 (volta1 m5 𝄀 m6 𝄇)(volta2 𝄆 m7 𝄀 m8 𝄀 (volta 1 m9 𝄇) 𝄀 (volta2 m10 𝄀 m11 𝄂For which the playback order is:
1-6, 3-4, 7-9, 7-8, 10-11
