How to restore piano staves?
I've hidden the piano staves in a piano-vocal score to show voice only. How do I restore or add back the piano staves?

If the piano staves do not show at all, even when they contain notes, use menu item: Edit -> Instruments... and click the 'Visible' box for piano.

Tried that but didn't work. I also set hidden staves to "never", instead of "always", which is how I hid them in the first place.

If you press i are the visible check boxes selected?

Yes. I think I overrode visibility somewhere else so I just deleted the original piano staffs and added in new ones and that worked.

If you set that to always hide, then setting them back to auto, or to never, will work. The trick will be making sure you're setting that property for the correct staff 0 if they are completely empty, you won't be able to find them. But you can use the arrow keys in the dialog to move through the staves
