Grand Staff distance won't change for some systems, but will for others
I downloaded this piano arrangement of Let It Go from musescore.org, but I need to change one thing. The distance between bass & treble staves is way too big. Strangely, Grand Staff distance changes seem to apply to only 2 systems. Any ideas why the others won't change?

It is the manual placements of the chord symbols, in 2.x used to attach them to the bottom staff but make them show above top staff. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+R resets every manual setting to default and should solve this issue (but show them between staves).
Or right-click one. select all similar and untick Autoplace in Inspector
Or just re-enter them and to the top staff

Indeed, that puts a bandaid on this particular problem today but makes it far worse in the future as the layout of this score changes for any reason. Far better to fix the problem by moving the chord symbol to the correct staff. Ttakes only seconds:
1) right-click first chord symbol
2) Select / All Similar Elements in Same Staff
3) Ctrl+R to reset to default
4) Ctrl+X to cut
5) click first note of top staff
6) Ctrl+V to paste

Thanks, that's good to know. It doesn't matter for this particular score as it now looks good and it's unlikely that I'll be doing anything additional with it in the future. But who knows if I'll encounter this issue again, or if I'll change my mind about this score!

OK, so maybe export a copy to pdf where the non-optimal settings will be "baked in", and the score will always present the same when viewed in any pdf viewer. (Alternatively, export as an image.)
The concern here is that some future version of MuseScore may not take kindly to chord symbols anchored to one staff then forced to appear as if they belonged to another. This may affect layout in some future version.
Of course, if you always (now and forever) keep the same version of MuseScore, you'll have no issues with viewing the score as it is.
