Huh?
What "black bar" when starting playback?
Realize that it's a MIDI file and from the looks of it, that's the least of any problems with this score. ;-)
Do you have the MuseScore (.mscz) file?

I had never saved a mscz file of it. Also, it appeared in continuous view
Can you make a screenshot of what the "black bar" is?

The playback curor, but in black rather than transparent blue. Try reverting to factory settings.
Or at least check/reset Edit > Preferences > Advanced > ui/score/voice1/color (default is #0065bf)

Just did and it worked! I don't know what I did, or if I modified anything, but somehow every issue I've seen on the .org site, reverting to factory settings seems to fix it.
