How to play the accompaniment with my Saxophone?
Hello everybody.
I would like to play this piece, where i play the voicing part and with the piano accompaniment.
But as far as i understand i need to transpose either my part or the piano. Problem is, that i like how the voicing sounds when i play it, but if i transpose the piano down a major 6?, to match my alto sax it sounds horrible.
What are my options here?
This song was played at our wedding so i want to impress her with this, once i get it all figured out.. :-)
Thanks for your time.

Easiest way is to just change the instrument of the Vox part to alto sax. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/staff-part-properties#change-instru…. Here's your score, edited so the top line is for alto. When you change to a transposing instrument, MuseScore will automatically transpose the part for you so it reads and plays back properly.

My god that was the fastest response ever. Thanks so much. Didn´t even think about just changing the instrument to saxophone. Thank you. Will check out the score a bit later :-)

One follow up question. So it not possible to transpose the piano part so i can play the voicing as it is written?Transposing my part changes the octave and accents.. but something tells me i have to live with that..
What do you think?

Yes, you could transpose the song to a new key if you want. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/transposition on how to transpose. You could transpose everything down by an interval of a major sixth and that would make the alto part have the range it was originally written in. Of course it would sound different, but if you make sure you transpose the piano part and alto part together they should still sound good.
