Grouping Bars of Rests
Yea I should probably know this by now...........
I've actually watched the videos again and gone through the FAQ but can't find this yet.
If I write a part for an instrument which begins on the 9th bar how do I put in an 8 bar repeat?
I'm looking to get MS to recognize one bar repeated 8X.

Once notes are entered, press M and a multimeasure rest will replace those 8 empty measures

We're not quite on the same page I don't think Jojo. I'll upload the score.
I don't want notes in those empty measures. One bar of rests played 8 times. I've even tried it with different rest note values. I even tried the M thing but nothing pops up.

OK you want that 1st (empty) measure play 8 times rather than just twice, right? So change the measure's play count (via right-click into the measure, measure properties) to 8.
