my musescore 3.6 crash on every mscz file if musescore already opened

This seems to be an old bug, and it should be fixed in 3.6.1 but i'm using 3.6.2 and it's back (original bug https://musescore.org/en/node/315529)

  • Open musescore
  • download and open an mscz file
  • It open it in musescore, and freeze
  • Close everything...
  • Just double-click on the mscz file, it will open Musescore properly, without any freeze.

I'm on Big Sur in a MacBook with the M1 chip. MuseScore 3.6.2. I'm not sure it's the same issue as you.

As I enter into new charts, manually, it keeps crashing and I have to re-open it, usually losing several previous entries. It seems to occur in any mode -- Text entry (Chord symbols, Rehearsal marks), note entry (eighth and quarter notes and rests), etc. I often loose a little with each crash -- many times per hour. Sometimes a minute apart and sometimes 10 minutes.

I'll do more research, but will look back here for answers. It might just be a compatibility issue with Apple's new architecture.
