Is it possible to delete/get rid of hidden staff space?
Hello, does anyone know if it is possible to get rid of hidden staff space?
Basically, I want the staves that have notes to be closer together.
On my score I have Gtr. 1 and Gtr. 2. Guitar 1 plays from the beginning and stops playing at the end. Guitar 2 comes in somewhere in the middle and continues until the end. I hid all the bars that have rests from both guitar 1 and guitar 2.
(See the attached file for more information.)
Maybe there's another of achieving what I want. That would be helpful too.
Thank you for your help :)

Indeed, a much better way. Don't manually hide measures and rests, simply enable Format / Style / Score / Hide empty staves within systems (and optionally turn off the option not to do this on the first system, although in your case, I recommend leaving it alone - it's usually best to show all parts on the first system).
BTW, I also see you are using staff text to label your staves, but much simpler to just make sure the staves have names in Staff/Part Properties - which they normally would by default, did you delete them? Using the regular staff name facility gets the position right with no adjustment, and also continues to work even if the system breaks change.
So, two ways of saving an enormous amount of work and getting better results here!

You guys are amazing! Thank you for the quick response! Works like magic!
Yeah, I deleted the default names. I'm using staff text because I want the font to be...well a particular font. Is it possible to change the font in Part Properties?

Yes, Format > Style > Text style > Instument name long/short

Thank you so much man!
I've used Sibelius previously, and I must say musescore is getting ridiculously close to being on par with Sibelius.
Exceptional work, and everything is for free!!!
Thank you so much musescore 🙏
Instead of hiding measures, use Format > Style > Score > Hide empty staves (and untick Don't hide empty staves on fiorst system)
