Volume Plugin

• Apr 21, 2022 - 14:16

Hello everybody!

I've been using the "Tempo Changes" plugin a lot where it gradually decreases the tempo.

I would like to know if there is a plugin that performs a "Fide Out", that is, gradually decreases the volume.
If not, what's the best way to do this in MuseScore?

Thanks a lot friends!

Hi!
I know this question has already been discussed here on the forum, however, I still haven't learned how to use this important resource.
I have read the manual for this topic completely and
I created a small piece of music. I inserted the hairpins but it has no effect (attached file).
What would I be missing or what am I doing wrong?

Thank you friends!

What you're missing is:
1.) A dynamic marking at the start of the score with the velocity for it being low/close to zero
because otherwise there is no starting reference

2.) Either a dynamic in the middle, or an explicitly set "velocity change" value for the crescendo, or the computer playback doesn't understand how much it should increase in volume

3.) Either a dynamic at the end, or an explicitly set "velocity change" value for the decrescendo, or the computer again doesn't understand how much it should decrease the volume.

4.) Disable that "use single note dynamics" for the decrescendo, as it is being added to a Piano instrument. And a Piano, by nature, has no possibility to change the dynamic of a note after it was struck.
