Export selected parts
I've created a full score in 7 parts. I want to export them in groups of 3 + 3 + 1 parts.
How do I do this? Do I need to create fresh scores and copy and paste the relevant parts into them? Or is it simpler than that?
I can easily export the single part of course - it's the groups of 3 that I can't work out.

Via File > Parts create 2 parts with 3 instruments and 1 with 1.

You can create a single part that includes more than one instrument by selecting them one by one in the lower left hand box and adding them to the lower right hand box using the right-pointing arrow between the boxes.
So press the Single Part button, select the 3 instruments you want and hit Ok. Then repeat for the next three and then again for the single instrument.

Many thanks for the help, I've managed to create the sets of parts I need. However one set is spreading over into a 3rd page (just one stave) and I want to condense it slightly to fit on 2 pages. However I'm finding that adjusting the scaling and page margins doesn't help. The button 'Apply to all Parts' is greyed out. Is there a solution to this please?

That button is not greyed out, if (and only if) using that dialog on a part rather than the main score
Also might explain why the settings doesn't affect the part you want it being applied to ;-)

If reducing scaling a little doesn't help, try reducing it more. if instead you see a bunch of empty space on the first two pages, then probably you have a page break preventing that last system from moving back.
If you continue to have trouble, please attach your score so we can understand and assist better.
