upgrading from version2 to current version 3
I have version 2 of MuseScore which I downloaded for Windows 10 from a CD I purchased online. To upgrade to version 3 do i need to uninstall version 2?, or will uploading version 3 update what I already have installed?

OK Thanks! I'm trying to upload version 3 here but the Wizard just states that it is for repair or uninstall, and I'm not able to install. please help.

Since you are here, there is no need to "purchase" MuseScore. Simply go to the download site here and download it - it is free.
You purchased a CD with MuseScore on it?
That's a scam, MuseScore is free for download (and use)!

It doesn't appear to be a scam because i now have Musescore2 it costs $15 no big deal, and I've been using it fine. attached is an image of the disc. But now here at the site trying upload version 3 The Wizard tells me it's only for repair for uninstall

You paid for something that you could easily get for free. That's a scam in my book.
And no, you don't need to nor should try to upload MuseScore 3 to this site at all.
Just forget that CD (and hope it isn't even malware), download MuseScore from the download page of this site and install that, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/install-windows

Seems like it probably came from here https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/sharperjacks. I guess a physical CD might have some intrinsic value separate from the free software it contains,

I think it takes some nerve to even charge for this stuff. Not to mention that anyone with a newer computer can't even use a CD.

Well, burning a CD and sending it out for free is a bit much to expect though ;-)
