Can't delete rests that shouldn't be there
Hey all, I have a problem. I imported the midi of a piece I wrote and I need to get it ready for real musicians, so now I'm trying to clean it up in musescore. Problem is, it kind of screwed over the Bb Clarinet for some reason and now theres rests where there shouldn't be any. Example in the screenshot provided. I can't delete them either, only make them invisible and yeah. I just want it to work properly lol.
Thanks in advance!!

I'd bet that is a voice 1 rest: those cannot get deleted. But why not using voice 1 for the notes?

I have no idea how that works to be honest, does the voice 1 have to do with the midi channels? As I said I imported the midi and started working from there, so perhaps it got mixed up in there.

Probably. If you share the score (and the MID), we could check

I already changed up things in the score obviously, but here they are.

With the help of your comment I think I found you can delete them by just changing the voice of the notes to be voice 1, like you already kind of implied. Maybe there's a faster way to do it, but there's /a/ way at least. I'll wait for your comment though as you might have something better. :D

The imported MIDI looks different from your score, but that too is using voice 3. It also has notes in voice 1 though, your score has not: simpe swap voice 3 and 1 (and then delete the voice 3 rests)

Alright, awesome. Is there a way to delete a voice (3 in this case) in one go, or do I have to manually edit that?

I thought it was solved with this, but some notes refuse to be changed to different voices. Any idea what's up with that?

Please share the current version of the score for inspection and let us know which are failing.
Most likely they can't be made voice 1 because something else is already in there?

This is true, but I can't switch voice 1 to voice 4 either in order to switch them around
