Can't delete measures with ctrl-del
Hi all,
For some reason ctrl-del and "remove selected range" is not working to remove measures today... has anyone else run into this? I have a windows operating system. For that matter, I am now having issues just deleting a slur in another score... I don't know whats going on.
Thank you!

Quite a few people have run into the Ctrl+Delete, and so far it's been a complete mystery. However, the other day I inadvertently discovered the likely cause. There is a special undocumented mode that MuseScore can enter if you press accidentally Ctrl+I (other than when entering text; it's a supported shortcut for italics then). This special mode was only half implemented and currently does nothing but cause problems, this being but one of them. To solve it, simply press Ctrl+I again to return to regular operation. Or restart MuseScore.
Regarding the slur, we'd need you to attach the score in order to advise further. But my guess is that you accidentally entered several slurs overlapping, and now you need to delete them all.

I was trying to get lyrics italicized earlier that session, but Ctrl+I doesnt ever work for me for that either... it's very frustrating, because I work with bi-lingual hymns, and all the Spanish verses are in italics, but right now I am highlighting every syllable...

Ctrl+I works to italizice individual letters within syllables, while you are editing them. But, no need to mess with that, or with selecting syllables individually. If your verses alternate English & Spanish, then simply set the "Lyrics Even Lines" text style to italic, and now all your even-number verses will be italic automatically. Easiest way to do that is select one such lyric, set it to Italic using the Inspector, then click the "Set as style" button ("S" icon) next to that control.

That works if they alternate, but what if it is 4 English verses followed by 4 Spanish verses? Also, I often have to elide two syllables with the Spanish text, but I can only italicize the first syllable, not the one after the elision mark.

You can also easily select all lyric syllables of a single verse via right-click then Select / More / Same subtype. Then set them all italic at once via the Inspector. Not sure what you mean about not being to italicize the first syllable of an elision, but the method I described should work for the entire verse. If your elision is done normally - as a single syllable as far as MuseScore is concerned, but just happening to contain the elision symbol - then it should also work to select it individually.
If you continue to have trouble, best to start a new thread with a more descriptive title and attach your score and describe the problem in more detail. Then we can understand and assist better.
