Hi,
on the trombone, there are 7 positions to play, numbered from 1 to 7.
The available fingerings stop at 5 (not cercled) and 6 (cercled).
Can you add a 7 fingering in the palette?
Comments
Oh, yes, I know it's possible to edit the fingering after having put it on the note. But it's not frankly ergonomical...
Another idea: if you could add a fingering with a key combination, it would be fine also...
So you have 7 fingers??
Create a score, add a note. Click on the note and then click on a number from the "Fingering" palette. Select that number and change it. Now you can use [Ctrl][Shift]-mouse(left) to drag the new number to an empty spot in the palette. I have attached a palette thus modified.

You can see it so. There is already a numbre 6, so why not a 7?

Thank you for the hint, it's very useful.
If only one could save the palettes and parameters across versions of MS...
The 6 is because of 6 strings to a Guitar, not because of 6 fingers to a hand...

And you don't need 7 fingers to play trombone (well, maybe that one bass trombone player I once knew) but fingering is useful to indicate the slide positions.
WRT palettes across versions, the Fingering.MPAL I attached earlier can be imported into 4.0.0.
