Change tempo of whole score to half duration?
Hi,
I would like to have the notes of a whole score at half duration, namely, from:
to
what would be the easiest way to do it?
many thanks once again for your beautiful work. I've just purchased another year of this wonderful software :)

CTRL+A to select everything
CTRL+X to cut everything
Select the second beat of the first (pick-up) measure
CTRL+SHIFT+Q to paste everything with half the duration or use the Paste Half Duraction command from the [Edit] menu.
You will have a redundant rest at the start of the first measure. You can delete that and shorten the measure by selecting the rest and pressing CTRL+Delete
You will also have to relocate the repeat barlines where they are needed as they are not include in the cut and paste operation.
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/copy-and-paste#paste-half-double-du…
By the way, you can't purchase the software. You can purchase a PRO subscription to the score sharing site MuseScore.com. The MuseScore editing software is free and requires no subscription.

It might be off-topic, but, on the same score:
why are the key signature accidents not having effect here? (see the note Eb)

Difficult to say from a picture. If you attach the score (.mscz file) someone can investigate.
You might try selecting everything and pressing up arrow and then down arrow to shift everything up a semitone and back down again or perhaps down then up.

I've tried your suggestion (cmd+up and cmd+down) to no avail.
I've attached the mscz to your kind appreciation. Many thanks!

No .mscz attached!
I can't look at it until tomorrow, but there are plenty of other helpful users here who know much more than me about Musescore and who may be able to suggest something before I can.
Actually, it would be better to start a new thread with a new title that might attract the attention of a key signature/ accidental expert. And don't forget the .mscz file. It will also be useful to say if the score is your own creation or is an import from another source and to state which version of MuseScore and operating system you are using.

Loads and displays fine for me; no unnecessary accidentals that I can see. Maybe it was a temporary glitch caused by some editing operating you performed that fixed itself on the save / reload?

I do see the unnecessary accidentals but if I select the top stave and do an up, down, down, up they disappear. the "necessary" accidentals remain. They were possibly added as "courtesy" accidentals to remind the player of the key signature and therefor may be considered "necessary" but unessential. However, it is good practice to add a courtesy accidental on a note the first time it appears in a measure after a measure where it has previously been modified by a necessary accidental. I leave it to you to decide which, if any, courtesy accidentals are needed.
