Mac OS Monterey - No Sound

MuseScore 3.6.2
I have no sound from the application. Mp3 export DOES work. Mixer and Synthesizer are greyed out as well as the playback options. This has been an issue for a while- maybe since the 64bit change. MuseScore 2 also does not have sound. I have tried the troubleshooting steps and looked into the forum. Seeing a lot of others with the issue and answers that are mostly rude and not helpful. I use an audio interface (UA Volt 476p), but it hasn't worked with other units I've had. I have other audio software installed like Zoom, Ableton, Logic, Loopback by Amoeba for audio routing (not enabled unless using Zoom) - none of these are open while I'm using MuseScore

Thank you. I've just gone through and attempted all the steps again, including that last one regarding PRAM. I have tried this all before. I successfully installed replacement soundfonts as instructed in #4. Nothing here results in the issue being resolved. Playback, mixer and synthesizer are still greyed out and there is no sound. . There are no available options in the I/O under preferences. Additional Mac specs are below and a screenshot of my audio devices is attached.

What happens if you disconnect your Volt audio interface and reboot? I've seen some other forum posts with difficulties when those interfaces were involved.

Most likely explanation, then, is that some other program on your system has requested what macOS calls "hog mode" - basically, a program tells your computer it wants exclusive use of the audio devices. You;ll need to find out what program is doing that and get it to stop.
