MS4 Handbook: Transpositions

• Nov 12, 2022 - 00:02

I think following part doesnt make sense, I would remove it:
"Transposition after a clef change
If you need to change clef in the middle of a score, the program automatically transposes notes after the clef so that they continue to sound at the right pitch."

Because Clef change is not transposition. Clef defines pitch of staff lines.

I think the handbook entry works with two minor alterations:

  • change the word transposes to repositions
  • change the word right to same or original

And with a little further rewording:

If you change clef in the middle of a score MuseScore automatically repositions notes after the added clef so that they sound at their original pitches."
